Read MoreThe project developed in 2019-2020 to increased awareness of health risks among 541 employees to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviours with physical activity and/or healthy diet which can delay or prevent the onset of NCDs. Most lifestyles for corporate employees are characterized by physical inactivity, long sedentary periods and consumption of unhealthy foods. They drive to and from work; spend many hours seated on a computer and this exposes them to high risk of NCDs.

The project was implemented to bring diabetes education and prevention to selected 100 schools in Mbarara, Isingiro and present Rwampara districts in western Uganda (2015-2018), funded by the World Diabetes Foundation. The project increased awareness of diabetes in schools and helped children, teachers and parents choose healthy lifestyle to prevent the development of type 2 diabetes See Details. Increasing the participation in sports and physical activity for girls in eight rural secondary schools of Isingiro District

In partnership with Uganda Sport for Health, Recreation and Development, the project was implemented in eight schools of Isingiro district (2012-2013), supported by the Australian government under its initiative: Sports Outreach Programme ; See Details.
The project focused on the power of sport to promote NCDs prevention awareness and social inclusion. Girls are vulnerable and most times denied opportunities for participation making them miss the physical, social and mental benefits that participation provides.
